A book fair at your local Barnes & Noble store can be a relatively easy way to earn money for your school. Barnes & Noble representatives do much of the work involved in hosting the book fair and your school receives a percentage of the book fair proceeds.

Barnes & Noble partners with pre K-12 schools to host customized book fairs to encourage literacy and raise money for the schools. Bookfairs are held in Barnes & Noble stores, with online shopping available to support the in-store bookfair. Your local store will work with you to stage an event featuring your school to coincide with the book fair and will tailor displays for your fair. Store representatives will also provide materials to publicize the book fair, and a unique book fair ID number that will identify your supporters’ purchases in the store and online. School supporters can shop in the store during the fair and online during the day of the fair through 5 days after. Barnes & Nobles will give your school a percentage of the net proceeds from the book fair sales.

Note that Barnes & Noble recommends 8 weeks advance notice to schedule a fair.

To plan a Barnes & Noble bookfair, call the community relations manager or store manager in a local store of your choice. Go to the Barnes & Noble store locator and enter your ZIP code to find stores in your area. See Barnes & Noble's website for more information.
